After her residency in NY (2014) she started using short video-loops as visual moduls – leaving them open to perform them as live-video-performances. (For many years she used to compose fragmented narrations as digital videos – closed and finished.)
Since a couple of years Anne Wodtcke (alias ann_on_loops) is using her smart phone to create most of her artistic imagery moduls – in the moment and out of the moment.
For her vj-performances she is mostly using self-produced material, but also found-footage as well as digital generated loops and a vj program to create her visual cross-over - for several hours new combinations of poetic images and forms.
For av-performances she is sometimes – depending on the theme - taking her own sound.collages produced with analog synthesizer-moduls, found-footage, field-recordings and own experimental vocals to compose her analogue-digital cross-over.
ann_on_loops creates video projections/installations for galleries, bars, clubs as well as for private events. the set up for the space is always in response to the surrounding architecture.
